Now, there are 14 League Two live televised matches and 2 TV channels will broadcast each and every one of them. The next match you will be able to enjoy is Doncaster - Bradford City and it will be played next Saturday 26 April 2025 at 13:30 televised by Sky Sports+ Plus.

League Two is the fourth division of football in England and the last classified as professional football in the country. It was born in 1958 under the name of Division Four and in 1992 it became known as Division Three. In 2004, together with the remodeling of the leagues organized by the English Football League, its current format and name was introduced.

The competition is made up of 24 teams that face each other over 46 journeys. As in the rest of the professional leagues in the country, in the event of a tie on points between two participants, the first criterion to tip the balance towards the side of one is the difference between the goals in favor and the goals against achieved during the season. .

The clubs that finish in the first three positions obtain direct promotion to League One. From a promotion play-off that the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh places play, the fourth and last team to go up in category comes out. The two with the fewest points at the end are relegated to the National League, with two exceptions: that one of the other teams associated with the English Football League resigns or that the non-professional club that was to take their place does not have a stadium that meet the minimum requirements.

As in the other EFL categories, in League Two there is a salary cap that prevents clubs from spending more than 100% of their turnover to pay salaries. In case of non-compliance, the organization can impose disciplinary sanctions such as the loss of points.

Several of the teams that have played the Premier League in recent years had to go through League One previously, either in the current format or in the previous ones. This is the case of clubs such as Crystal Palace in 1961, Watford in 1978, Reading in 1979, Sheffield United in 1982, Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1988, Burnley in 1992, Wigan Athletic in 1997, Swansea City in the 2000 and the Brighton & Hove Albion in 2001.

Yeovil Town were the first champions under the current name of League Two in the 2004-05 season. The Glovers got their ticket to League One by scoring 83 points. Scunthorpe United, Swansea City and Southend United were the other three teams that accompanied them to the third division. Kidderminster Harriers and Cambridge United were relegated to the National League.
