The Coppa Italia is a direct elimination tournament that takes place every year between the best teams in the country. The champion gets access to the Supercoppa Italia and the Europa League . Position in the previous Serie A campaign determines when a competition begins. From the ninth to the twentieth place they make their debut in the third round.
